In the United Kingdom’s capital, British MPs and members of the diplomatic community met with Ukrainians affected by Russian war crimes. The event, organized by the UK Embassy in Ukraine and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, featured speeches by Olha Reshetylova, head of the Media Initiative for Human Rights (MIHR), alongside testimonies from two victims.

Russia has begun executing the sentence imposed on former Ukrainian law enforcement officer Pavlo Zaporozhets. The man was kidnapped in Ukraine, deported, charged with “international terrorism” and has been held in prison for more than two years. In order to cover Zaporozhets’ tracks, he is constantly moved from one place of detention to another. In October, the man was put in the Vladimir Central Prison, where extremely dangerous criminals are held.

The 58-year-old Azov Brigade soldier’s state of health is critical. According to the latest information, Serhii Tarasiuk is kept in Pretrial Detention Center No. 2 in the city of Kamyshin, Volgograd Oblast.

Three more sentences have been published in the Register of Court Decisions. They were imposed on Russian soldiers for crimes committed during the occupation and military operations. Two Russian soldiers were sentenced to life imprisonment for shooting civilians who were trying to evacuate. One officer received 11 years in prison for ordering to capture the Borodianka Psychoneurological Nursing Home and use 500 residents as a human shield. A Russian soldier was sentenced to 12 years in prison for robbing a house.
